European Roofing Systems Limited ("ERS") was established in Darlington, County Durham in May 1993 by Gavin Belton (Managing Director) and David Murphy (Marketing and Estimating Director) to compete for roofing and cladding contracts in the industrial and commercial market sectors. The company has since shown consistent growth from an initial turnover of £421,813 in it's first year of operation to a turnover in excess of £4,250,000 for the year ended 31st May 2004, producing a net profit after tax for each of the last ten years. This impressive financial performance is due in no small measure to the "family" working environment encouraged by the Directors, with a number of senior staff, including John Wilson (Company Secretary/Financial Controller), Barry Binks (Senior Contracts Manager) and Brian Oliphant (Drawing Office Manager), having been with ERS since it's inception.

ERS specialises in working in partnership with large construction companies and their professional advisors to resolve complex challenges in their chosen market sectors. ERS provide free advice, estimates and technical input at the design stage utilising the latest AutoCAD software and a bespoke computerised estimating system.
ERS has forged strong links with the majority of recognised material suppliers to enable them to provide an engineered solution to the most sophisticated applications at a competitive price.
ERS only utilises it's own directly employed contract managers on site and ensures that all sites are constantly monitored by external safety consultants.

ERS takes great pride in the volume of work it now generates from repeat business and referrals from satisfied clients but it is always looking to expand it's client base with similar-minded clients and/or professional advisors whom share ERS's ethos of working in partnership to provide a professional concept to completion solution to roofing and cladding problems at an acceptable cost.
