A prestigious building that utilised the technical resources of European Roofing Systems to engineer a fabric specification to fit the structure’s complex geometry.
Materials included site rolled Aurubis seamed wall panels and a standing seam aluminium roof.
Roofing and wall cladding project which included single ply membrane roofs, with a sedum covering, secret fix ‘hook on’ fibre cement particle board rainscreen and Tecu Gold shingles at high level providing a stunning focal point for the finished structure.
Programme and tolerance constraints made this an extremely challenging project but the stunning results proved to be rewarding.
Its final appearance is testament to European Roofing Systems expertise in both design, workmanship and attention to detail.
Expansive contract including multiple roofing and wall cladding disciplines over four separate buildings. ERS scope of work included a stunning “teardrop” shaped standing seam metal roof and ancillary single ply roofing works.
To the wall areas there was a combination of zinc and fibre cement rainscreens and copper standing seam to the Theatre Pod, which formed the focal point of the entire project.
“State of the Art” Police building incorporating a multi storey block and expansive single storey blocks.
To the roof areas ERS combined single ply warm roofs with ballasted inverted roofs with pebbles, paving and sedum blanket coverings.
To the multi-storey block walls and soffits we supplied and fixed a stunning combination of extruded anodised and pressed pre-coated aluminium planks which incorporated feature window pods.
This project has been awarded the Civic Building of The Year Award for 2013 by the Society for Construction and Architecture in Local Authorities.
